People that claim Baseball isn't a hard sport, haven't spent the time to watch and respect the inner workings of an organized baseball game. The velocity in which balls are hit and thrown, is truly astonishing. Succession, why is Baseball considered the hardest sport? The reaction time needed to hit a 95 mph fastball (the MLB average), is less than a blink of the eye. “High Pitch Velocity is the main reason it is so hard to hit a baseball. Why is mental health so important? In a game where there is 80% failure, it is hard not to get frustrated with yourself. “Prospects are under constant pressure to perform in a game that is driven by failure. Even the best hitter in the game is only successful 30% of the time. They are constantly reminded about this by fans, box scores, coaches, talent evaluators, and everyone else in their lives.” sources via BSBLInsiders.com. With baseball players having to work for not just their position security day in and day out, but how they perform is also what pays the bills. Mental health can become a serious issue not only for professional players, but for any players, highschool, collegiate athletes, even little league. When only the top 5% of highschool players make it to the next level, and 1.6% of collegiate athletes make it pro, it could crush anyones spirit who does not achieve their dream of making it to the next
