Is there really a laziest generation? The article, “Is Generation Z the Laziest Generation Ever?,” by Teen Ink, talks about how GenZ isn’t the laziest generation ever. Generation Z is not the laziest generation because although Gen Z appears lazy when older people see them, but it’s only because of how much they actually have to do, and the people in this generation are well acquainted with technology and technology is the future of this world. Older generations will say that GenZ is the laziest, however, this isn’t the case, since Generation Z has so many activities to do they will want to be lazy from time to time. Also, most of this generation is younger, so, there isn’t much experience managing time and keeping track of what is being done. Although it is firmly believed by many, Generation Z isn’t the laziest generation. Another reason the newest generation isn’t the laziest is that, with so much new technology, Gen Z is adapted to how most of it works and technology is the future of the world. Teens, young adults, children, all of them have the ability to, “learn whatever they want by accessing the Internet,” says Teen Ink. By being able to learn whatever, whenever, Gen Z may be the fastest learning generation. Cellphones are often called a distractor, however, “that distractor makes them smarter and better citizens of the world.” Phones give Generation Z the ability to know what’s currently going on in the world, which thus further enables them to be better citizens.
