A technology is defined as anything item that makes one’s life easier. Technology has become a part of one’s everyday life. People are constantly on their phones, computers, etc. However, as technology has evidently changed the way in which the world functions, a question has arouse: Is technology actually helping the world or destroying it?. Nicholas Carr addresses this question in his article Is Google Making Us Stupid?. In this article, Carr highlights the harmful impact the Internet has had on the human brain, affecting the way in which people think. In his article, Carr uses allusions in order to further develop his stance that the Internet has altered the mindset of people. He uses the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey to explain this. In
