Internet Side-Effects Nick Carr’s wrote an article titled “Is Google Making Us Stupid” where he discusses how internet has affected our brains. Carr’s discussions are based on his own experiences and how he felt as a writer. He expressed how “something tinkering with his brain, remapping his neural circuitry and reprogramming his memory”. (Carr’s 2) Since starting to use the Internet his research techniques have changed. I agree with Nick Carr's argument "Is Google Making Us Stupid"? And how internet has affected people's critical thinking and reading abilities. After I read this article, I found strength and weakness from Carr’s premise. Society has become more dependable of the internet usage. In the century we are in, we have internet in different kinds of devices like, Computer, tablets and phones; which makes internet usage at any time and convenient. Internet has not only affected humans critical thinking, but it has also made possible for users to work from home, pay bills, online banking purchases and meeting people online. All of these productive ways of using the internet can affect people’s behavior by making users more anti-social, by being able to do everything online and preventing socialism and communication.
