Jonh 6 gives referrence to us having satisfaction and abundance in Christ. “Whoever comes to me will never be hungry.” (John
Minerva was the second oldest and the strongest of the Mirabal sisters. “She was always into her wrong and rights” and that’s why so many people (Mostly women) honor her till this day. Trujillo was a dictator of their country who never liked anyone to go against his word and if they did he ’d kill them and make it seem like the person did it him or herself . When Minerva was a kid she always looked up to him until her friend from school told her stories showing the real him, and that’s when everything began to change.
Followers of God should do the same and let themselves be motivated by
The invention of the steam engine made life easier because it improved transportation methods, aided the development of industry, and opened new opportunities for an emerging middle class. The steam engine itself introduced the mass invention makings of the industrial revolution. factories. The steam engine impacted many industries such as cotton. There was a time when people did the right thing, i.e., they prayed to God for their needs and trusted to his mercy and grace for the future. The Bible commends this, “...but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” (Philippians 4:6), and, “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;” (Ephesians 6:18), and, “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19) The spirit of foolishness has led many to abandon God, and to rely on man’s efforts for their welfare and wellbeing, as if the past have taught them nothing.
Ed battles this idea with the truth of how discipleship is a daily process and commitment. The fourth “broken view” is that we think that we will grow without effort. Ed then implies that discipleship takes intentional effort to grow in their relationship with the Lord. The fifth “broken view” of discipleship is we don’t offer practical steps to discipleship.
Humans must know and admit to the fact that they are the creation of God, and that this should be honored above all things. This shows that God is all powerful and humans must recognize and respect that. The Lord’s Prayer also shows outright respect to God with its First Petition. The First Petition state “Hallowed be Thy name,” and Luther explains that “God’s name is indeed holy in itself; but we pray in this petition that it may become holy among us also,” (Luther “Small Catechism” 19). It must be respected that God is holy above all other things and this must be
“Wisdom begins in wonder” (Socrates n.p.). Socrates is well-known to many as a man of logic. His goal was not to change people’s belief structure, but to show them how to critically think. For example, in the textbook Experiencing Philosophy by Anthony Falikowski, Socrates engages in a logical debate with Euthyphro. To better elaborate, Euthyphro was trying to explain to Socrates, what his belief on piety (the quality of being religious or reverent) and impiety (lack of piety or reverence, especially for a god) were.
Sproul. The quote by Sproul shines the light on an enormous problem that many Christians face, the lack of effort to put work into their relationship with God. The lack of effort is usually covered up by the myriad of excuses that are made in order to excuse the believer from putting any effort in to their relationship with God. That is where Proverbs 13:4 kicks in and tells us that it is only the soul of the “diligent” that is will ultimately receive the fortune, that comes in the shape of a stronger relationship with God. If one is “sluggish” and does not put any effort into strengthening their relationship then they will end up wanting a lot but not receiving anything due to their lack of
6:10-11) Wisdom is elusive. “See, this is what I found, says the Teacher, adding one thing to another to find the sum, which my mind has sought repeatedly, but I have not found. One man among a thousand I found, but a woman among all these I have not found. See, this alone, I found, that God made human beings straightforward, but they have devised many schemes.”
The churches were reminded that all are brothers (and sisters) in the Christian faith. James also corrects misunderstandings regarding works, which have to accompany faith, as a sign of healthy Christian living and beliefs. He does not contradict the teachings of Paul, but rather teaches that your faith and works should be a way of life for
“Every story is informed by a worldview” (Godawa). A worldview is basically how one sees the world based on their own perceptions. However, a biblical worldview is not based upon any beliefs and values. A biblical worldview is defined as a framework of ideas that are in the scripture. Keith Druly defined a worldview as “a particular bias in our presuppositions that influences how you look at the world and what we see or expect to see” (Druly).
Certainly, his wisdom is shown in how he has used his expert knowledge in the practical aspects of life to maintain and nurture reflecting forgiveness to others and being open minded to new ways of doing things (572). When
Wisdom begins with fearing the Lord (Psalm 111:10, NIV). Another step includes thinking before acting (Dees, 2013). A good example is that courage is great, but without wisdom, a person may make a choice without thinking about it and end up a fool (Dees, 2013). However, going back to the quote above, not acting can be foolish as well. One way of acting is mentoring others.
His greatest desire is that we learn both forgiveness and mercy toward those who are misguided or who may have caused us pain. Jeremiel understands our personal pain, anger, and frustration at being hurt by others; he understands that sometimes we simply cannot forgive our trespassers. If such is the case, then Jeremiel asks us to release our negative feelings into his hands and he will make things right for us and help us to move beyond our pain and resentment. Archangel Jeremiel is always at our disposal, and all we need to do is call upon him and he will come. To Call Upon Jeremiel “Archangel Jeremiel, Help me to open my heart and to be kind and merciful to others, especially to (insert name).”
