The play Romeo and Juliet written by William Shakespeare is a tragedy that depicts the death of two newly wed lovers who suffer their death due to unfortunate circumstances. Although Romeo and Juliet did take their own lives, the feud and Friar Lawrence are at fault for their untimely deaths. Some may believe Mercutio is the one to blame for the deaths of the young lovers. The different family’s feud is to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. The feud forced the lovers to hide their love from their parents, this made them enact desperate actions just to be able to see the other one. The feud caused the two families to fight, which led to Mercutio’s death, which, in the end, got Romeo exiled. The feud also got the two killed by not allowing the two families to discuss their issues civilly, this had Romeo exiled causing him to get the news that Juliet died instead of what he was supposed to hear. Friar Lawrence is to blame for Romeo and Juliet’s death. He hid the lover’s marriage from their parents, this killed the two by their parents setting up other marriages for them, resulting in them taking extreme measures to avoid the marriage. He came up with the plan to fake Juliet’s death to finally reunite the two lovers, but this did not work and resulted in the suicide of both lovers. He entrusted an important document for Romeo to someone else to deliver, this led to Romeo never getting the letter and instead was told by Balthazar that Juliet died sending into a depressive
