Life is Beautiful by Robert Benigni is a comedy war movie. A Jewish librarian, Guido becomes victims of the Holocaust alone with his son, Giosue.Once Guido and Giosue arrive at the concentration camp, Guido tells his son Giosue that their playing a game. With humor and imagination, Guido protect his son's innocence, of the fatal reality from the danger Nazi concentration. Throughout the film, Benigni usage of character development the depiction of the individuality for a greater purpose. In the beginning of the film, Dora is arranged to a wealthy government official. She appears to have no autonomy and is dissatisfied with her life circumstances. Once she meets Guido, things change for the better in which she is appears genuinely happy. In the beginning of the film, Guido position to to give a speech on the Aryan race to the children. Guido takes the opportunity of a daunting situation and created it into delighted circumstances for the children. Similarly, the explanation Guido gives to his son on the games rule. Each task given will earn points in which the prize will be a tank. He further explains to Giouse that hiding will earn him points versus crying will make him lose. The guards are spiteful because they want the tank for themselves. The missing children, who in reality have died in the gas chamber, are hiding to earn more points. Only in this way will a child not be afraid of the reality of the concentration camps. Guido goes as far as mixing his son with the German children so he can be saved.
