Did you know the movie The Patriot was based on the American Revolutionary War? What happened in Hollywood was a little different from what happened in history so I’m going to tell you all about it. Some characters are fictional like the characters Benjamin Martin and Gabriel Martin but they are based off of other great heroes from the American Revolutionary War. The Battle of Cowpens was a blood bath and you're going to have a little insight of how it happened during the Revolutionary War. I think the movie The Patriot was somewhat accurate because Benjamin Martin did a good job at being Francis Marion, the battle of Cowpens was really described thoroughly in the movie and the surrender of General Cornwallis was so accurate in the movie.
