So he tried to get into the other school, but tried to pacify his father by allowing him to think he would not get in. Tobias had to deal with more than just a demanding, dictatorial father. Oddly enough, this was coupled with a form of neglect. “My father took off for Las Vegas with his girlfriend the day after I arrived in California,” He left for Vegas with his girlfriend after only seeing his son for a day. Wolff’s ability to, not only cope with such a father figure, but overcome such neglect and still be able to make something of his life is a testament to his strength of character and
