Isaac Newton Isaac Newton was an English mathematician, astronomer, and physicists who was recognized as one of the most influential scientist of all time. Newton’s discovery of the Laws of Motion and Universal Gravitation completely gave a different perspective to scientist in the physics world. “ Isaac Newton is considered one of the most important scientists in history. ... During his lifetime Newton developed the theory of gravity, the laws of motion (which became the basis for physics), a new type of mathematics called calculus, and made breakthroughs in the area of optics such as the reflecting telescope.” ( reference.com ) In this essay I will go over the some facts that aren’t …show more content…

Newton realized that some force must have been acting on falling objects like apples because otherwise they would not start moving from rest. He also noticed the moon “flying” away from Earth in a straight line tangent to its orbit, some force was not causing it to fall toward the Earth. Newton called this force “gravity” and determined that gravitational forces exist between all objects . (standford.edu) Throughout his life he continued research into a wide range of subjects including mathematics, optics, astronomy and …show more content…

He got into many fights when he was a kid. Newton never married and, though it’s impossible to verify it is widely believed never to have had sexual relationships. The huge rumor of Newton dying a virgin was also a key fact that lead many to think that he was possibly homosexual. If this were true it would be impossible to believe you would think that Newton being very well know and him being a genius, would have found love. He died at 84, and virgin, that is too hard to believe. Many are shocked by this and according to many he was considered a “loser” for dying a virgin. He was a genius ! no way he was a loser. Newton invented the very interesting topics to the education that is being taught today's day and will continue being
