Sir Isaac Newton was one of the most famous and well-known Scientists in history. He was an extraordinary Physicist, Philosopher, Astronomer, Scientist, and Mathematician. Born too early on January 4, 1643, he was not expected to survive his first day of life. Some sources state his birthday as Christmas Day in 1642. As a boy, Newton was known for his love to explore, experiment, and build gadgets such as kites, windmills, and sundials. His curiosity and quest for knowledge drove him through school and ultimately to Cambridge University’s Trinity College. He studied mathematics and natural philosophy earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1665 and in 1669, a Master of Arts degree. Newton studied the nature of light from the Sun’s rays.
