Per Reporter: Christine and the baby tested positive for benzodiazepines and marijuana. The meconium test is pending. There were no birth defects; however, the nurse (unknown) mentioned that the baby is experiencing withdrawals (trimmers). Christine takes Subutex (methadone), which are prescribed.

Currently in England abortion is legal, however it is not freely given at the request of a women. In order for a women to gain permission for a abortion to go ahead the signatures of two doctors is required on the basis of restrictive legal criteria. However is other places around the world such as countries in South America, and North Africa, women are prevented from being able to access abortions legally and safely. Mary Anne Warren is a well-known American philosopher who has influenced the argument of the controversial issue, abortion. Today, I will be supporting Warren’s belief and theory on abortion solely being the woman’s choice and will do so by refuting other theories and philosophers including; John T Noonan, Judith Thompson, and Don Marquis. John T. Noonan revolves his argument of abortion around the idea of conception. According to Noonan, abortion is morally wrong because a being comes into existence at the point of conception. Also, being conceived by human parents automatically classifies the fetus as a human as well.
Sakia Gunn was a fifteen-year-old black teen who was violently targeted for a murdering due to her identifying as a lesbian. Leah Lakshmi realized the magnitude of this hate crime and used it as a platform to bring awareness to the situation. There has been and currently exists a structural problem that consistently harms people of color. Historically hate crimes were blatant, showing up as lynchings and other publicly violent portrayals. However, recently hate crimes have become more invisible.
In order to assure that the health needs of incarcerated pregnant women are met by prison and jail administrations it is important for them to know the profile of these women before they enter the facility. These prisons should have resources, staff, and information ready for these special groups of women. Since these women represent a small portion of the facility, it may be difficult to provide special healthcare needs. However, these women should not be treated as if they were a standard inmate when in fact they are not. Courts in certain states claim that pregnancy does not constitute as a serious medical need, basically meaning that being pregnant is not an illness or disability (UCLA Women Law Journal, 2010).

This article occurred in connection to two children documenting a claim against McDonald's for making them fat.
