Without a Christian worldview, it is impossible to conduct any form of science. Only with Christianity, can we understand that the world is orderly because an orderly God creates it. God is rational; with no rationality there is no science.
Science is asking how the universe works and finding out how. Science focuses on the physical world and the slight overlap between the psyche and the body. God created the earth six thousand years ago in six days and one day of rest. His Word made all things, including time, the heavens, and the earth. He made the world to be orderly as He is orderly. As such, we know that as He is reliable, the world is reliable and we can find patterns and can classify creation and can improve on what He has given us. Finding patterns in creation, we see beginnings and endings just as there was a Beginning and there will be an End. We see and understand birth and death, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night. This is because they believe that the world is disorderly. The world is not reliable. There are no patterns. It is all chance. Pagans believed that the world originated, not from an omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent God, but from chaos. It is a soup of sludge and chemicals from which man and life oozed forth. God did not make man and He does not exist. Nothing is dependable. There is no such thing as a scientific method with which you can test the outcome of an action. Time is either an eternal circle, repetitive and unchanging with nowhere to go, or unreal, a figment of the imagination of the cosmos that is one with all. There is no point in finding out something that does not exist. As all is one, all is pointless; nothing can progress or change for the better.
