Many people dream of performing on stage, being a part of brilliant performances and productions. I, on the other hand, dream of working behind the scenes, and of being a part of the team that makes these performances and productions possible. Music and the arts are my passion, and I plan to work in the management, promotion and advocacy of arts organizations both nationally and internationally. Pursuing an M.A./M.B.A. dual degree in Arts Administration at the University of Cincinnati is the next step for me to achieve my life goals. Ever since I started playing the piano at the age of 8, I have developed a great love for the arts. As a music major, I have spent my entire undergraduate career surrounded by music, performing music and teaching music. I am currently a senior music education major at Ithaca College. I study under Gordon Stout, Professor of Percussion at Ithaca College. I serve as the President of the Percussion Arts Society of Ithaca College. As president, I promote the formation of percussion performances and education in the Ithaca community. I bring guest artists to the Ithaca College campus for performances, clinics and workshops, and I raise funds and organize the organization’s annual trip to the Percussive Arts Society International …show more content…

I have helped plan numerous events, including concerts for H+H’s bicentennial celebration held at different locations throughout Boston, Orpheus’s summer performance at the Naumburg Bandshell in Central Park and their 2017 Opening Night at Carnegie Hall, and the Little Kids Rock ROCKFEST 2016 Conference, an annual convention for music educators held in Fort Collins, Colorado.
