Development of one nation is prone to depend on a huge of perspectives, ranging from education, culture and customs, to arts, especially economy. Basically, the wealth countries, which is likely to grow up significantly in economy, means accounting for the strong points in playing field. Therefore, each nation is going to figure out which way is the best and be suitable for their economy. In this essay, my objective goal is synthesizing two point of views regarding economy between “Deep Economy” by Bill McKibben and “It’s a Flat World, After All” by Thomas L. Friedman. I cannot turn the blind eye to the fact that both of the authors have their own point of views. However, the similarity way of them is digging their judgment to develop not only in the United States, but also for all countries in the world. Having said that, however, their ways for growing economy should be different in some perspectives. Bill McKibben, the author of “Deep Economy”, advocate for less economic growth. In addition, three objections are mentioned are inequality, physical limits, and lack of happiness. Everything on the Earth almost act depending on natural resources. The imbalance in these still occurs, running out of fuel means running out of planet. Therefore, having a solution is necessary, these are cutting edge technology and renewable energy.
