Why I want to transfer to John Hopkins University in particular. Firstly, JHU is a school which holds reputation. The reputation is not only about its well-regard academic field, but also from the school community, excellent alumnis, and the campus atmosphere. I, as a international affairs major student, have the intuition that JHU will be more suitable for me. The international studies undergraduate program in JHU is one of the best program in the nation. The class arrangement is reasonable and balanced. In my opinion, the mix classes of international and domestic political science, economy, history, culture will give students a in-depth understanding to the international study. Their admiration and appreciation to JHU propel me to join the JHU family. I believe that the unity and cohesion of JHU will make me happy and satisfied in the next three years. In addition, last summer, I have read a book from one of the professor who currently is teaching in JHU. Her name is Renée Marlin-Bennett and the name of the book is Knowledge Power: Intellectual Property, Information, and Privacy. This book makes me think deeper about how the world order has been constructed and how innovations change today’s world. I want to have her as my professor and I believe that there are many more outstanding mentors can help me in JHU. Fancy buildings, top ranking status is not the whole story about a college. Students and teachers are the essential parts of every school no matter what. In my opinion, JHU is a school for those who want to take challenges and ready to overcome no-easy days. I have confidence that I have a determined mind and strong body which are qualified for these requirements. I also have faith after I graduate I can become a kind, confident, and knowledgeable person like many others who graduate from JHU. The road in JHU will be tough, I am fully aware of this
