On the 31st of March, 1997 a young boy, Jack Jones, was accused of the murder of Mr. Arthur Giant. An unbiased version of the story goes as such, Jack planted a bean stalk that grew 500 meters. Jack then climbed up the bean stalk and encountered Mr. and Mrs. Giant. After getting ahold of the goose and the egg from unknown circumstances Mr. Giant’s body was found at the base of the bean stalk. During the aftermath of the following story various pieces of evidence were collected or noted as some could not be collected. The first piece being a gold egg that was found on Jack’s person at the time of his apprehension. The second was a goose that Jack was carrying alongside the egg. The boy stated “Please Mrs., I just want something to eat” in response to Martha Giant telling him to leave. Martha Giant hid the boy in the cupboard. Mrs. Giant then watched the boy come out of the cupboard and steal the goose and eggs. She also witnessed Arthur Giant chase him out of the cupboard. Witness says a noise by the goose woke up Arthur Giant. The boy escaped through the cat-flap according to Martha Giant. Mrs. Giant heard Arthur Giant state “I will carve you up. I will crunch your bones to make my bed” Detective Inspector Morose was called to go to the residence of Jack and Nora Jones. According to Morose this was not his first time at the residence as Jack “is a headstrong lad and often in trouble.” Whilst there, Detective Morose collected the previously mentioned evidence. According to Morose, Jack’s last words before the apprehension were “I never meant to kill him. I thought he was going to eat me. I was scared. I’m really sorry. I only wanted to make my mum happy.” Supposedly Jack Jones, Nora Jones, and Martha Giant were all interviewed by the Detective but proof of these conversations never
