JR Pereira Ms. Tantlinger Honors English 10 2 January 2018 Title Intro William Golding has wrote 13 books and one of the most famous books are Lord of the Flies. This book is about 32 boys on an island which they were on their way back to their home land of England. When they were on this island, they started to become savages within a few weeks. . At the very beginning, they nominate a leader for the boys, and his name is Ralph. Ralph then assigns tasks to the other boys, like hunting, and assigning the leader of the hunters to be Jack. If compare Piggy and Simon to each other. Simon on the other hand has none of those things he is just an introvert Jack and Ralph are the two characters who get the meaning of what they are supposed to be doing there although they have two different perspectives on it. Ralph just wants to survive until help can come and get them off of this island. Ralph and Jack never got along because of the fact that Ralph got nominated as the leader of the “tribe.” Simon is a lay back character he doesn’t like to talk to any of the other boys. Piggy is that one character that has everything wrong with him but he doesn’t let him stop him from trying. The other boys like Sam n eric or roger Sam n Eric are the twins of this story all they have done is doing what they were told to do. Roger is a follower of this story he only sticks to one person and does not leave their side kinda like a dog almost. Third in chapter 5 Jack started to disobey the rules that he helped create. To Jack this setting has been kill or be kill so he never really listen to anyone because of this setting. Ralph is the one who uses his strength to help out the boys the others don’t use their strength for that reason.
