SUMMARY OF BOOK 2
The murder of Katherine Lincoln filled the citizens of Jackson Heights, with terror. Although the detectives checked every clue, they were no closer to finding the killer than they were the morning they discovered her lifeless body in a pool of blood. Still, they couldn’t quit looking until they arrested the murderer.
BOOK 2 Entering the house, Marlene turned on the light, leaned against the doorframe, her heart sunk when she looked at her mother’s living room in shambles, weeping, she whispered, “Mom sure, put up a fight.” Torn paintings with smashed frames and broken glass lay everywhere, desk drawers dumped, and papers cluttered the floor. “Raymond,” he finally said. “What’s the last name?” Detective Wallace asked, nodding his head toward his partner. Knowing what the senior detective wanted the detective left the office to get a copy of Raymond’s fingerprints.
Smirking, Raymond said, “Sure, I have one, but I haven’t used it for years.”
“You better start remembering because you could be in an enormous amount of trouble,” Detective Wallace said waiting for his partner.
Moving around in the chair as if trying to get comfortable, Raymond asked, “What are you saying? Why am I here? I’ve done nothing wrong.”
“A witness saw you leave the house where someone murdered an elderly woman.”
“If that’s what’s going on here, you’re wrong. I might be homeless and need a shower, but I’m not a murderer,” Raymond said, struggling to stand.
“Just relax, my friend,” Detective Wallace said, looking at his watch. Returning to the office, handing the file to his partner, Defective Johnson said, “The prints match.” Thumbing through the papers in the file, before he spoke, Detective Wallace said, “I want you to settle down and answer my questions.”

Instead, the announcer shocked Andrew when he said, “We’re going live to our reporter in Jackson Heights, to the scene of a double homicide discovered this morning.”
Sitting straight up in the chair, startled, Andrew called out, “Hey Margaret, looks like Katherine’s murderer struck again.”
Turning his full attention to the TV, Andrew listened as the young, reporter said, “Thank you, this is Janet Stanwood in Jackson Heights, for WNSF TV in Baltimore. We just left a news briefing with homicide detectives, in the brutal slaying of an elderly couple found murdered this morning in their home on Olive Way. Police have not released their identification-pending notification of the next of kin. A third person living in the house is missing and considered a person of interest. We will have more details as they become available. Thank you and back to Frank in the studio.”
