This book is written in 1st person narrative from the perspective of a teenager named Jacob. Unlike most teenagers, Jacob isn’t swept up in typical highschool drama, he has his own struggles of unreasonable guilt, constant paranoia, and other various psychological issues. He’s a very easily agitated person with the belief that no one has, or will ever be able to understand his quirks, except for his late grandfather, which makes Jacob feel even more isolated. Jacob’s precarious manner doesn’t last as the story goes on.
