Jake Paul has been called one of the most polarizing personalities on YouTube (Williams, 2017) and once one starts to examine his career this statement would not come as a surprise. Jake burst his way onto into social media stardom by using the app Vine while he was in high school. Vine was an app in which creators could make 6-second entertaining videos and post them. Vine was created and January of 2013 and quickly grew in popular (Clifford, 2016). Jake Paul, along with his older brother by 2 years Logan Paul, grew a following on Vine. He starts making YouTube vlogs (video blogs) after a short time living in Las Angles. In this videos, you can see shots of underage drinking and Jake riding his motorcycle as if he was a professional stunt driving. He pops wheelies and stands on top of the bike while speeding around on a public street (Paul, 2017). After making about 30 videos abandons that project of YouTube, at least for the time being.
