James B. Comey attended law school at the University of Chicago. He then Became a partner of the law firm McGuire Woods. After which, Comey worked as an assistant United States attorney of the Southern District of New York Eastern District of Virginia. Following this, he was chosen to be the United States attorney for the Southern District of New York. He worked as Deputy Attorney General of the US DOJ in 2003. He resigned from the DOJ in 2005 to become senior VP and general counsel of Lockheed Martin and in 2010 he became general counsel of Bridgewater Associates. (James B. Comey’s leadership choices in the past can be criticized but only to a certain extent as many are influenced by his personal experiences which may have led to biases.
