In the Innocence Project I decided to chose the James Bain case where he had to serve 35 years in prison for a falsely committed crime. James Bain actually spent more time in prison for a crime he did not commit than any other American exonerated through DNA evidence. He was sentenced to prison at the age of 19 in 1974 and was finally released in 2009 at the age of 54. He was convicted of rape and kidnapping of a nine year old boy in Lake Wales, Florida.
