Jim Bridger Essay Jim Bridger was born in March 17,1804 in Richmond,Virginia, Lewis and Clark started their epic western expedition two months before Jim Bridger was born. Bridger headed west along with the routes that Lewis and Clark pioneered. Then twenty years past and Jim Bridger became one of the most important Mountain men of the 19th century. Overall Bridger became famous in history for being a memorable and brave mountain men.
Joseph Brant was born in Northeastern Ontario of March 1742. His native name was Thayendanegea. Brant had one sibling named Mary Degonwadont (Molly Brant). His dad’s and mom’s name are Peter Tehonwaghkwangeraghka and Margaret. Brant got his education at Moor's Indian Charity school in Connecticut.
There is such a mystery that surrounds the migration of the Loomis Family. The journey from their familiar life in England to an uncertain future in New England was not easy. However, it all started in 1585 when Robert White married Bridget Allgar and had a daughter named Mary White. Robert White was a rich man who was friendly to non-conformists at the time which was rather odd considering the time period; nonetheless, their daughter was baptized in 1590. Then several years later in 1614, three years before her father’s death, Mary White married Joseph Loomis a successful cloth merchant in Braintree, England.
Kyam Livingston was a 37 year old mother of two, from Brooklyn, New York who died under police custody in July of this year. During an escalated argument with her elderly grandmother, over alcoholic consumption police were called to the scene. Prior to this altercation, Livingston had made an agreement with her grandmother, a legalized order of protection that was established prohibiting alcohol or fighting in the household. When police arrived she was immediate arrested and taken to King County hospital where she was given treatment for her intoxication. About 8 hours later she was taken to a holding cell in in Brooklyn to wait arraignment.

James led the settlement as a refuge for the poor and debtors. Being the first person in his family line to attend college, he first attended Clemson University and then transferred to North Carolina State University, where he graduated with a bachelor 's degree in textile technology. This choice of avocation was due to his father 's career at a textile mill. However, he changed his goals and went on to earn his law degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1977. John Edwards ' early legal career can be described as stunning, while his personal life can be described as a brave struggle in the face of tragedy.
William Ellery was born on December 22, 1727 in Newport, Rhode Island, to his father, William Ellery, and his mother, Elizabeth Almy (Pyne). His great-grandparents immigrated to the United States in 1668 where they then settled down near Salem, Massachusetts. William’s grandpa moved to Newport to start up as a new merchant. Along with being a merchant, he became the Speaker of the House of Deputies, a judge of the county court, and a member of the town council. His grandfather became very wealthy and made a large contribution to building a new church.

Some books he wrote are Theodore Roosevelt: A Twentieth Century Life, Jamestown 1607, and John Paul Jones: Hero of the High Seas. Cooper went through a lot to become a writer, he even started out writing newspapers.
David Foster Wallace and Ernest Hemingway are two American writers. Even though they come from different generations, both men argue about the same subject, abortion, which is controversial during their time. While both of their short stories using a third person narrative, Wallace portrays his characters’ actions and behaviours by making readers experience their thoughts in “Good People” while Hemingway portray his characters by allowing readers to observe them from the outside in “Hills Like White Elephants”. Firstly, their different writing styles can help the reader to either understand the characters relationship quickly or slowly. Next, it would seem that the involvement of reader to understand the characters in “Good People” is greater than in “Hills Like White Elephants”.
Soviet women did not have jobs and government positions but were still unfailingly the ones attending to the housework and children at the end of the workday. This was something that Beauvoir recognized and then mirrored the problems that were being talked about by feminists in the United States, about housewives and women's "roles." She inspired a second wave of feminism. I find that a little funny since she did not start out as a feminist, (separate topic) Her contributions help by capturing the true extent in which women have been oppressed throughout history as a result of being categorized as the Other.
