The author James Hamblin uses relevant data to show people expressive writing has benefits. Qian Lu, director of the culture and health research at the University of Houston, “found improvement in several health metrics, including levels of stress and positive affect, and overall quality of life.” The information that is presented here to show facts. These facts are used to make a more believable argument. He believes that if the readers do not have time to do journaling, using the app is a good solution to the problem.
