Jane Austen was a famous writer back in the early 1800’s. She wrote several novels that really influenced people. She was a unique way of writing. Which is what made her writing so different and influence at the time. The way she grew up also influenced her lifestyle. That is why she is one of the greatest writers of her time. Jane Austen grew up in England in the late 1700’s and the early 1800’s. She had several brothers and sisters. She was also a feminist. “A woman, especially, if she have the misfortune of knowing anything, should conceal it as well as she can” (Austen). She taught herself a lot from the books in her father's library. She attempted to go to boarding school twice but it never worked out. So most of her intelligence is from what she taught herself. So she really had a passion for what she did that is part of what made her writing so great and different. She had a lot of different aspects that she put in her novel. Her novels are still very relevant to today’s society. Which is some thing that does not happen a lot. Whether it was in her novel or the way that they put it into a movie or whatever it was it completely changed the lives and the minds of people or women more than men. They will never forget the words that Jane Austen wrote they influenced people in that way. It made women feel like they had the right to do things. Not just that men do everything and women just do the things around the house. And in today’s society that is definitely not how it works. Women do there own stuff and do not care what men say. Some women are so much more successful than men. Like Jane Austen being the most successful author of her time. I mean think about it when you think back to Jane Austen’s time can you think of another author? I can not because she’s the only thing that pops up. When you are so powerful through your writing you can over power anyone. And with that much voice in your writing no one can really compare to you. Or be able to not remember you reading
