American culture has an identification of what could be described as unique and abstract to a degree of not being like any other. Their philosophy of culture would be to learn and interpret to be applicable to your own life. This society has set no restrictions on what the culture could be or have certain traditions that must be followed. America can tolerate and accept many practices to create its own culture that is not conventional.
Component #1: Inter-group Characteristics Attitudes, beliefs, and values The Asian American culture has seen a drastic increase in population between 2000 and 2010 and is characterized as, “one of the fastest growing racial and ethnic communities” (Humes et al., 2011). Asian’s found their way to America for economic and social status, financial stability, and family growth which are similar reasons they left their country of origin. Asian American’s are made up of much diversity, to which they are influenced by values and philosophies. The family is a significant part of the Asian community which naturally extends to multiple households.
If I had the opportunity to do so, I would switch lives with a girl in Italy to gather knowledge about the culture in Italy and Europe to become a better global citizen. I believe I would gain experience in many aspects of Italian culture, including the cuisine, architecture, and artwork. Italian culture and American culture present many differences, which is why I would like to travel there to gain more knowledge about the world. The cuisine, art, and architecture of Italy differ from that of America.

The cheerleaders you see at every football and basketball game aren't real cheerleaders. You could argue that cheerleading is not even a sport. The official definition of a sport is “a game, competition, or activity needing physical effort and skill that is played or done according to rules, for enjoyment and/or as a job”(Oxford languages). Competitive cheerleading is not what typically comes to mind when people mention cheerleaders. Competitive cheerleading is a team oriented sport where they put together a 2 minute and 30 second routine to perform in front of a crowd of people and a set of judges.
This refers to a group of marginalized American citizens with origin from the Asian continent. The coming of Asians into America can be traced as far as the 1810s, between 1850 and 1905 a lot of Asians mostly Chinese, Japanese, Filipinos and later south Asian Americans immigrated into America in large numbers mostly as unskilled laborers. As their numbers increased rapidly1, ‘the model minority’ as they were referred to back then started facing racial discrimination in the U.S. This resulted as the other Americans saw them as a threat to job opportunities hence a generalized dislike towards them resulted. This was until the year 1965 when changes were made in the immigration laws eliminating race as an immigration factor.

My multicultural upbringing as a Korean-American of a low socio-economic status enabled me to embrace a culture of inclusivity. I have been able to recognize the value of multicultural understanding by the exploration of my own identity, and I am able to relate to others with an open mind. I have often been a person who is different due to my appearance as an Asian-American. Furthermore, I straddled the lines of different cultures by being raised in a traditional Korean environment at home while exploring in the traditions of American culture outside of my home. While coming to understand and embrace my own identity, I have come to appreciate the differences among others I meet.
Japan has many interesting adventures you can do. There are so many places, activities, smells, sites, and tastes you can explore! The way Japanese people live is their tradition to take their shoes off before entering their own home. Also not every Japanese person sits on a pillow and eats at a low table. Making assumptions are made by what you heard or think.
The cultural customs in France compared to those of the United States of America are similar in some ways, but also different in others. Speaking in terms of personal life, according to the Bering Guides entitled “Business Travel in France,” the French are much more interesting and spontaneous as they place more emphasis on joy than comfort. Also, the food culture in France is significantly different from that of the United States. Meals are more of a “social” (Bering) thing and typically last much longer due to coursing. I spent a few weeks in France my junior year of high school (as a part of an exchange program), and I noticed quickly that there were countless differences in the types of food eaten, too.

The culture of a country is defined by its own beliefs, its ways of life, its arts and other factors. Cultural differences are important because it distinguishes people living in a certain country from other countries. For example, marriage has the same meaning in both countries, which is the bonding of a man and a woman, but the wedding ceremonies are very unique.
