Chinese peasants and the Chinese Communist Party between circa 1925 and circa 1950 had had more close relationships. The major relationships that are shown in the documents is that relationship of peasant and Communist party supports to spark the nationalism in the peasants, creates an anti-Japanese sentiments, and to promote a sense of social equality. Documents 1,2, and 3, demonstrate that peasants had raised the national pride due to Chinese communist party. Documents 4 and 5 show how the Communist Party fosters the sense of anti- Japanese sentiments. Documents 6,7,8, and 9 illustrates the the sense of social equality through the Communist Party associating with the peasants.
It is a widely known fact that during WWII, the Navajo's were enlisted in the military to send and receive encrypted messages between different military groups embedded in combat. These messages were secret tactical messages developed solely to keep information from the Japanese Imperial Army. There were approximately 500 Native Americans enlisted in the United States Marine Corps with the purpose of using formal or informal codes that were built upon their native languages. Although the Navajo People are recognized as being the code talkers, there were many other tribes brought into the military for the same purpose as early as WWI, mainly the Cherokee and Choctaw peoples. I then see people arguing over why that was wrong.

In 1938, Japan announced its plan to constitute a new order in East Asia (Doc C). In this new order, the rule of the Japanese emperor would be drawn-out over Earth. This was a driving force for Japan’s invasion because of their ambitious desires. By damaging an American naval base, it gave Japan the ability to also occupy China and Manchuria leading to a rise in their military power (Doc C). Japan’s presence in more of East Asia brought them one step closer to expanding their authority.

It was because the Japanese had attacked Pearl Harbor. This was a significant event because the Japanese weren 't treated good and were forced to leave their homes, property, etc.

Following the Pearl Harbor attacks, Japanese Americans faced racism and were suspected of treason. The entire community avoided them in spite of their homeland’s actions and developed a general distrust towards anyone of Japanese descent. Anti-Japanese sentiment was on the rise. For instance, hateful messages against them, such as “No Japs Wanted,” were often scrawled on property owned by Japanese Americans (Doc. 4). This conveyed the prejudice this minority group faced and how they were blamed for an attack that wasn’t their fault.

In Julie Otsuka’s novel, When the Emperor was Divine, a nameless Japanese-American family is uprooted, exported, and abandoned by their own government. The family, along with thousands of others, lived in an internment camp for the duration of World War II, their only crime being their Japanese heritage. All Americans should know the story well, however, beyond public knowledge, there is a hidden history of Japanese-American imprisonment that extends beyond the less malicious internment of families. It is kept in the dark, easily overlooked, only found when one is willing to search.
On December, 7th, 1941, Japan bombed Pearl Harbor. As a result the Americans decided to intern those of Japanese descent on the west-coast of the United States. The Japanese were uprooted from their homes and were relocated to internment camps where they would live their lives for the next 4 years. Japanese internment was a horrid act put upon those of Japanese ancestry in World War II, only using the common good as a reason to judge why the Japanese should be interned. The Civil liberties of the Japanese on the west-coast were more important than the common good because there was no valid evidence that the Japanese were planning an attack with their homeland.
It’s a popular belief that The Road by Cormac McCarthy is about death and pursuing your goals. Many also believe that in the story there is no good left, or that it is about good vs. evil. Or perhaps readers believe it is about love. But they don’t realize that there is a theme incorporating the dystopia, the survival aspect, and desperation. There is a theme that relates to the previous topics including love that the main characters share.
From the Kamakura Period of the late twelfth century to the Meiji Restoration in the nineteenth century, the samurai have held prominent positions as noble warriors in Japanese society. They have come to be famous in modern, Western pop culture as the fierce, stoic guards of feudal Japan, but their practices and rituals extended beyond wielding katanas and donning impressive armor. Samurai practices were rich and complex, with strict codes, ritual suicide, and a history of influencing culture and politics (“Samurai”). Samurai code was influenced by traditional Japanese culture, Zen Buddhism, and Confucianism. Bushido, or “Way of the Warrior,” was the code of conduct the samurai class were expected to uphold.
Elliot Guereca & Gustavo Sanchez 6th Period Japanese Imperialism in Korea “ Japan saw itself as having to protect Korea from foreign countries” During the 18th and early 19th century the world experienced new changes in world powers with imperialist countries and countries who experienced imperialism. One example of this would be Japanese imperialism in Korea during 1910-1945, a 35 year harsh change in Korea’s culture, impacting both countries in negative and positive ways in the years to come. Everything started during the Meiji period, a period where Japan saw change within its government creating a centralized bureaucracy.
