I feel they should not remain on-soil once they were emancipated if they wanted to be free for good from slavery. He also believed women should be allowed to participate in the anti-slavery society. Abolitionists argued against slavery because of its harsh conditions being stuffed into the hulls of a ship like cargo. It was illegal for them to learn reading and writing. Finally, working conditions were long and hard, especially for field workers, and violence was an ever-present part of life.
The date was June 28th, 1861. On this day, Jefferson Davis Tant was born to William and Mattie Tant in Paulding County, Georgia. Merely two months and sixteen days before his birth, the American Civil War had officially begun. This time of horrific tumult and immeasurable sorrow was the world into which the infant Tant was born. At the time of his birth, his father owned eleven farms and a magnificent two-story mansion in northern Georgia.

Davis really wanted to be the general of the Confederates but he was not able to raise enough money and he could not get the governor to agree to fight in the war but they decided to have Davis be the very first confederate president in the entire U.S. Although Davis did not really want to be the Confederates president he accepted their offer on 1801 and became the first Confederate president. He was a very good man and took being the president very seriously.

Thomas Jefferson’s works and ideas laid the foundation for several key aspects on the limits of the United States government, the idea of separation of church and state, and the importance of personal rights. Jefferson wrote many influential pieces of literature which pushed the concept of having limited government power. Jefferson wanted America not to be like the European monarchies that fell due to religious strife, so he emphasized a secular government. Jefferson, following closely with the ideas of John Locke, stressed the importance of the protection of individual rights against the government. William Morris Davis (1850 – 1934): Davis was born to a son of Edward M. Davis and Maria Mott Davis. Davis was an American geographer and was known as the founder of Association of American Geographers in 1904 and father of American geography (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Morris_Davis). Davis was one of Shaler pupils and worked closely with him for his studies in geography (Husain, 2006, p.236). According to Rana(2008, p.191), the power of Davis dominated in the 19th and 20th century in America as well as in Germany and France, he being responsible for enlarging the scope and classify the study of geography.
