It was late. The sun had set in the town of Oradell, and most were drifting to sleep in their beds, dreams bouncing around in their minds sleeping soundly. So soundly, that the only noise made was the howl of the wind on the cold winter night. Yet there was one, a boy, in fact, that would not sleep so sound on this night. His name was Jeffrey Blake.

Jeffrey was doing his normal nighttime routine. Shave, brush teeth, go to sleep. He approached the mirror with the razor wielded in his right hand. He looked in the mirror at his protracted brown hair and thought that he probably needed to schedule a haircut with his barber the next day. He then finished his routine and headed off to his room for his nighttime slumber. As he was getting into bed, he turned his T.V. on to sleep mode (he had trouble falling asleep when it was silent) and drifted off into a deep sleep.

Jeffery was thoroughly confused and wasn’t even going to tell the man that Darren was not his name, and started to work. He looked at the other lumberjacks cutting down their own trees in large, strong swings. One, two, three, four, down went one of the jacks trees in only four strokes. Jeffrey swung at a tree once and had not even punctured the bark of the tree. He looked next to him as a jack downed an entire bottle of syrup in what seemed to be one gulp. This was gonna be a long day for jefery.

The next few hours felt like days for Jeffery, as he hadn't even gone through half of the first tree. He kept on laboring for the next few hours and finally toppled his first tree. He was then approached by a man in a suit and short shorts.
