After his arrest in 1991, officers found many body parts in jars around Dahmer’s house including a head sitting in his refrigerator and many horrific polaroids of his already dead victims. He was sentenced to spend the rest of his life in prison, but was killed in 1994 by another prisoner. In 1978, Dahmer picked up a man on the side of the road named Steven Hicks and took him to his house. Jeffrey continued to give the man drugs and alcohol, but when Steven tried to run off, Dahmer hit him in the head with a barbell and caused Hicks to die instantly. He cut up the body and packed it into plastic bags and buried them behind his house. Soon after the killing, Jeffrey dug up the remains, compact the bones with a sledgehammer and spread them all over wooded ravine. After the killing, Jeffrey was shocked yet amazed about what he had done.
As a child Dahmer was reserved. He had little friends. The friends he did have would go find dead carcasses on the side of the road with Dahmer. They would dismember said carcasses and staple their parts to trees in the middle of the woods.
In 1992, Dahmer was found guilty of fifteen counts of murder and sentenced to 957 years in prison. However, his time behind bars wasn't long. In 1994, Dahmer was murdered by a fellow inmate, marking the end of his life. Dahmer claimed insanity as his defense, disregarding overwhelming evidence against him because of his extreme likenesses.
