Jeffrey Dahmer was born May, 21 1960. He grew up as a normal child and after his hernia surgery things changed for him. He became quite and would start dissecting animals. He was a curious child and wanted to know what the inside looked like. He graduated from Revere High School at eighteen. This is the year that will start a new path in his life, and change it forever. He killed his first victim at the age 18, picking up a hitchhiker and took him back to his house and get him drunk, when the victim tried to leave Jeffrey hit him the back of the head with a barbell. He was put on trial and was found guilty. Jeffrey Lionel Dahmer is not guilty. (Crime, 1) He suffered with Necrophilia and Psychopathic problems. Necrophilia the sexual attraction to corpses, and psychopathy is a mental disorder in which an individual manifests amoral and antisocial behavior, lack of ability to love or establish meaningful personal relationships, extreme egocentricity, and failure to learn from experience. (Dictionary, 1) A person with these conditions aren’t aware of what they are doing and they will do what it takes to get the feeling to go away, if one is killing and eating people then they clearly have a problem, and should be treated for it. In his first trial he was innocent upon insanity. (Crime, 1) Therefore, he should be free and go to a mental hospital. The court found him sane by the time of the second hearing, then found guilty. If a person were found insane the first time then why not the second time. The court clearly know he had a problem.
