The name Jeffrey Dahmer flooded the minds of the nation with trepidation and terror. He was a man that could not be understood by society. Dahmer was a heartless, psychotic murderer who took the lives of innocent people. No one knew when he would strike again, but when he did it would be inhumane and ruthless. He is one of the most prolific, yet disturbing criminals in history. He was nicknamed the “Milwaukee Cannibal” for good reason. Jeffrey Dahmer killed seventeen boys in graphic and disturbing ways, while going undetected for many years: he is known for being the most brutal, disgusting, and hated criminal in American history throughout the nineteen seventies and nineteen eighties.

In 1994, he was on a team with two other inmates cleaning the prison’s gym bathroom when another inmate fatally attacked. The police sauntered into the bathroom only to find Dahmer lying on the ground in a pool of his own blood coming from his head. Because of the horrific attack on Jeffery Dahmer, he died a few minutes after prison personnel found him. When the paramedics were called to the scene, it was concluded that Dahmer’s head injuries were so severe that it looked like that of a car accident victim. An emergency responder said that he had never seen head injuries that severe before. Authorities found that a blood-spattered broom handle was the alleged weapon of the assailant. The same person also attacked another inmate on the crew, Jesse Anderson, who perished a few days later in a hospital due to his injuries. The prison authorities came across a letter written by an inmate stating that Dahmer and the other victim had been on a hit list drawn up by other inmates.
