Throughout the novel “To Kill A Mockingbird” there are several points in which you see characters grow, develop, and change but throughout the entire novel I believe that Jem changes and loses his innocence the most. From first meeting Jem and Scout to the end of the novel watching the brutal Tom Robinson trial to continued backlash from the community a big change can be seen in Jem from the beginning to the end. Jem even though he did some things he shouldn’t have hisself early on in the novel changes so much towards the end that he breaks childhood code and tells on Dill for running away. Jem changes gradually and slowly throughout the novel and although it may not be obvious he is a completely different person by the end.
