Jennifer Phelps is a student at Stephens Dance Studios. She is currently in her 15th year of studies at the studio. In her time there, she has primarily trained in ballet, tap, jazz, and hip-hop. For the past 5 years, she has been training on pointe, advancing further in ballet.
Jennifer has held prominent roles in recent studio productions. Most notably, in the studio’s production of Cinderella in 2017, she danced the role of Cinderella, a role she shared with Rebekah Trunnell. In the studio’s 2016 production Tales from Pixie Hollow, she danced the role of Fawn.
In addition to dance, Jennifer also participated in the drama department at a co-op she attended in 4th grade. She performed the role of Madame Garderobe in their production

“Being able to perform and be comfortable on stage preforming for hundreds of people has boosted my confidence,” she shares. “Since I've been dancing from such a young age, I grew up preforming. Growing up preforming, I have never really experienced stage fright. One of the things I believe has contributed to this is growing up being on stage and being comfortable. When you are little, you're fearless, so starting to do something that a lot of people fear at such a fearless age and then growing from there, it never really gave me an opportunity or reason to fear being on stage or performing in front of people.”
