Famous people of the Nazi Olympics
In the Nazi Olympics, there was many amazing people that played a huge part in the olympics. One of these people was a man names Jesse Owens, His life started September twelve, 1913. His familys only job was sharecropping, but Jesse was an amazing runner. When he went to college at Ohio State University, he did lots of track and field. He became one of the popular kids in the school for winning almost all of the races he ran ( Bio ). Jesse Owens got a scholarship for track and field and used it to get to the olympics. He went through lots of training and was accepted into the olympics. He was unstoppable and represented the United States. He won about all of his events and held many world records. During the Olympics, Owens went home with four gold medals and he was congratulated by Adolf Hitler, even though he didn’t care much for Hitler.

He decided take the job of a motivational church speaker. That is when he started smoking, Jesse started smoking about a pack a day. After a while he couldn't stop smoking and developed lung cancer. Jesse Owens passed away March thirty-first, 1930. (Infoplease). Another one of the men was named Louis Zamperini. He was born January twenty-six, 1917 in a town in New York. When he was younger, he got into lots of trouble and was really quick to get away. His friend suggested that instead of using his quick feet to get away, he should quit and go to track and field. He got very popular for track and field in the college he went to, The University of Southern Carolina (Bio).
Louis Zamperini was amazing at track. He made the best scores at his college and later in his college years he got a scholarship.
