“Hang it up,” by Jesse Scaccia says that students are using electronic devices while they’re in class, which leads to them failing and causing other students are distracted and also fail. Parents are supporting their children are taking cell phones for safety purpose but they don’t know their children are doing with their phones. The New York City school chancellor announces that metal detectors will be at the school and also they can banned phones they confiscated more than 800 phones in this school. Student gets distracted by students with their phones because they always in their phone too much. In paragraph 3, it says,”a student is an uninterested student , one with a short attention span who cares more about his or her social life than education.” there is a another connection that reminded me of that i imagine of an high school student doesn’t care about school and she always in her phone while in class and the teacher was feeling interrupted by her texting on her phone and her peers are distracted also, and i feel that if she keeps being on her phone, she will fail the class. This means that students can fail the class because they're too busy on their phones they like to be social a lot because they don't pay attention in class. The solutions to both connected to parents and distractions in class is that students should contact their parents before class started as they started class they should put they cellphones on vibrate or turn off the phone so that the classmates will not be distracted as for the teacher he or she won't be interrupted by students.
