A teenager mother from Mississippi, Sabrina Butler was first known as the only female offender on Mississippi’s death row who was convicted for child abuse and the murder of her infant son. On the eve of April 11th, 1989, Sabrina Butler arrived at the hospital after midnight with a nine-month-old Walter Dean Butler, who was unresponsive at the scene. She claimed that she have found the baby when he unexpectedly stopped breathing, and after multiple failed attempts to resuscitate her son, she rushed to the emergency room and seek helps from medical professionals who are more knowledgeable on the matter. Sadly, her child was pounced died by the doctors following their visit to the hospital. The next day, while Sabrina was asked to give her statements at the local police station, the prosecutors arrested Sabrina under the charges of capital murder.
A Chauvin woman who was stabbed to death at a Grand Isle beach Sunday was a generous woman who loved photography and gardening, and did everything she could for her three kids despite being an amputee, her sister-in-law said. Jennifer Dozier was at the beach near Cypress Lane around 10:30 p.m. Sunday when a fight broke out between her and her boyfriend of nearly two years, Randy Paul Marcel, of Pine Street in Chauvin, police said. The fight, which witnesses say started over drugs or cigarettes, culminated in Dozier, 34, being stabbed the multiple times in the neck and torso, said Glen Boyd, Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office public information officer. Marcel left Dozier's 2-year-old son, Gabriel, with his mother's body and left the scene, police said.

Hazel Bryan on this fateful day made the decision to scream obscenities at Elizabeth Eckford, one of the teenage girls from the Little Rock Nine. The consequences of her actions are nigh innumerable, having this incident, which occurred at 15, haunt her for life. Whether the issues she faced were irrationally cruel is a topic of contention, with some believing that the consequences she faced after the incident were wildly blown out of proportion. Some consequences of this day were the ostracization of Bryan from the Little Rock Nine, extreme backlash from the public and resentment from the people who were once closest to her.

She is a loving mother of two and has a cheerful and trust personality, willing to help others at a moment’s notice, and understands a situation and deals with is calmly. Cindy is an extreme people’s person, making connection with every person she meets. Friends and coworkers say that Cindy brings the light where ever she goes. Though Cindy has such a bombastic personality she didn’t have the perfect childhood.
Overall, Betty Jo has a positive outlook on life. She likes to live in the moment and treat each day as if it were her last, as cliché as that sounds. Betty Jo’s father passed away when she was nineteen years old and she says that that really affected her point of view on life. Her father was a physically healthy forty-one-year-old at the time of his death and he died of a heart attack while refereeing the local high school’s boys’ basketball game one evening. This event seemed to have a deep impact on Betty Jo’s life.

In Tan’s early life she had many struggles because her parents desired for her “to hold onto Chinese traditions and her own longings to become more Americanized” (Encyclopedia). While she wanted to become a writer when she was still young, her parents wanted her to become a neurosurgeon. When she got older and went to college she majored in English then started her career in the 1970’s. She was a technical writer and then started writing fiction stories.
