Religions such as Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, and many others religions are still practiced around the world. One religion particularly is Christianity. As a well known figure of His time period, Jesus had a positive effect on religion by creating a new religion by the name of Christianity. Christianity is still practiced today and to some is a major part of life. Christianity is a catholic religion, created by Jesus Christ.The story of Jesus, as Christians and Catholics are taught and believe it, comes from a part of the Bible called the “New Testament.” Christianity is the largest civilization today. Just like other religions have different holiday, so do Catholics. Catholics celebrate a holiday called Christmas. Christmas is the day Jesus was born, December 25. We celebrate by putting up lights, a christmas tree, decorations, and sharing gift but mainly celebrating the birth of Jesus. Another holiday is Easter. Easter is the day that Jesus resurrected from the tomb that he was laid in when he died. This is another way Jesus had an impact on the world today. Another way he impacted His religion was that he died for us. He was tortured and nailed to a cross and eventually died, cleaning everyone of sins. Jesus is the main figure worshipped in the catholic religion because of what he did for His followers. Jesus accepts all people, good and bad.
