Jesus Christ played a major role in 4 BC-AD 29. He was dedicated to be chosen one by God or as Christians call him the “Messiah’. He founded one of the most successful , widely practiced religions know as Christianity. He positively impacted the world with his widespread teachings of peace and forgiveness. He also provided people with an eternal friendship and unconditional love. This was the beginning of christianity. To start off his ministry, he was baptized by his cousin, John the Baptist. Then his voyage took off . He was a missionary of God's word and dispersed it throughout Galilee. He preached a message of repentance and rebirth through his heavenly father God. This left his people panic-stricken but also optimistic (Jesus of Nazareth). He taught people that although life is not as fabulous as they would hope, if they trust in him and his word they would reach salvation. Salvation is the absolute goal in a christians life. Salvation is being in heaven reborn and possessing eternal life. Eternal life also is an end in worldly pain. It would provide his people with hope and peace. He also frightened people because he claimed that if you were not saved , you would spend eternity in hell. During a wedding he attended, in Cana (a city in Galilee), the host ran out of wine. He was requested for help, but at first he was a bit hesitant. After re-thinking the situation he decided to get involved and help solve the issue. He requested to be brought water and turned it into wine. This wine was rich in taste and much higher quality than they had first been served (A&E Jesus Christ). He also rose from the dead. Jesus was taken as a prisoner and nailed to the cross in between two prisoners. He died on the cross and resurrected 3 days later. His resurrection is now practiced all over the world in a holiday known as Easter. Easter is the celebration by christians of Jesus’s resurrection and coming back to life (Jesus Of Nazareth). Also, Jesus feed a multitude of people with only five loaves of bread and two fish. This happened when 5,000 people followed Jesus up a mountain and were hungry. The only food Jesus contained was a generous donation of a young boys lunch. He turned five loaves of bread and two fish into enough food to feed a large crowd of 5,000
