Is a quest for treasure worth another person’s life? Jim Hawkins is teenage boy who lives quite an ordinary life until one day, a captain, randomly arrives at Jim’s inn and soon after his arrival, dies. Jim then goes through the captain’s belongings and finds some money, a journal and a map. Jim takes the map to some neighbors in his town named Dr. Livesey and Squire Trelawney who realize that the map is a treasure map, made by the famous pirate, Captain Flint. The three men start planning their treasure hunt and make a crew full of both trustworthy and rebellious members. Jim and his crewmates travel to the distant treasure island and have multiple disputes throughout the diverse crew. One day, an old sailor named Billy Bones comes to the inn and demands a room. Billy’s old crew member, Black Dog, is searching for Bones and his sea chest. Billy has been heavily drinking and becomes so worked up with his old shipmates coming after him that he has a stroke and dies.
