Born on July 31, 1965, Joanne Rowling, who is better known for her artistic name J.K. Rowling, is a British novelist and screenwriter who wrote the Harry Potter fantasy novels. At an early age, Rowling became particularly interested in literature; consequently, she knew she wanted to become a writer. Although Rowling presume her Bachelorette’s Degree in French, she knew she wanted to bring her fictional characters to life. Rowling was born in Yate, Gloucestershire, England at Yate General Hospital (J.K. Rowling). Her father, Peter Rowling, was an aircraft engineer and her mother, Anne Rowling, was a science technician.
