People's lives can be changed in many ways and by many people. J.K. Rowling is the creator of the magical world of Harry Potter. Harry Potter has changed many lives and is one of the best series to this day. Her books affect her readers, but also has changed her life in very good ways. She is creative and has always found ways to work out the many problems she has had to face. Her life had many hardships and she always seemed to be struggling something, but has always fought through and allowed her extremely creative mind to lead her. J.K. Rowling is one of the most influential writers of all time that has always put others before herself and has never let her own problems affect how her life would turn out.
Rowling was born in the mid-sixties, and grew up in Chepstow, Gwent, in England. She was born with the name Joanne Rowling. J.K. , the name she is known for, is her pen name, recommended because a woman’s name would not attract her target audience, young boys. She choose the “K” to stand for her grandmother’s name, Kathleen. In grade school, Rowling was already writing stories and aspiring to be an author. Her original desires to become an author are important because they led her to continue writing throughout her life.

In 1997 Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone was opened in England. This ragtag idea became popular so extremely fast that Rowling decided to release Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone in the United States. It was also extremely popular, so Rowling got to work. This book was only the beginning for Rowling, and she was confident, but had no idea how much this would change her
