Joaquin Guzman Loera which is known to many as “El Chapo” is a Mexican drug lord who resides in his hometown Badiraguato, Mexico. El Chapo was born on April 4, 1957 and is now the head of the most dangerous yet powerful drug trafficking organization known as the Sinaloa Cartel which came into existence around the year of 1989. El Chapo didn’t have the best childhood nor teenage years, he was limited to certain things due to his family’s financial condition. El Chapo became in charge of the drug movement in his hometown. Drugs traveled through the North and Coastal Cities and all throughout the United States. El Chapo involved himself with other powerful drug kingpins who eventually got caught for a crime they committed and that caused El Chapo to move up in power, he was now one of the highest drug lords in charge. The Sinaloa Cartel trafficked in cocaine, heroin, marijuana and methamphetamine all across the United States and other countries. Having such a large amount of illegal drugs and an even larger amount of money El Chapo developed his own gangs by the name of “Los Texas”, :Los Chachos”, “Los Negros”, and “Los Lobos” which were established to help protect his homeland. His gang members caused over 1,000 deaths throughout Mexico, they including El Chapo were considered the most dangerous people around. El Chapo was arrested in Guatemala and extradited back to Mexico where he was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
