Chapter 14 The OT GOD in HARMONY with the NT JESUS
Worship the LORD; worship JESUS
I Chronicles 16:25, 29 says: 25For great is the LORD and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods. 29Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering and come before him: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.
The OT message is easily understood – worship God.
In the NT, we find Matthew 2:2 which says of the baby Jesus: Where is he that is born King of the Jews? For we have seen his star in the east and are come to worship him.
Of the man, Jesus, we have John 9:35-38 which records the interaction of Jesus and the blind man he healed: 35Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, …show more content…

Interestingly, Christians are NEVER called upon to worship the Holy Spirit. All that arm raising you see in services when certain songs are sung is misdirection and error.
Belief in God and belief in Jesus
John 14:1 places these beliefs together. It says: Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
Isaiah 28:16 says: Therefore, thus says the Lord God, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believes shall not make haste.
