Irish poet John Boyne once said, “There’s things that happen in a person's life that are so scorched in memory and burned into the heart that there’s no forgetting them.” “Sitting around miserables all day won’t make you any happier.” John Boyne’s The Boy In The Striped Pajamas takes place in Oswiecim, Germany. Auschwitz was built for putting Jewish or “non-believers” in concentration camps.inside the concentration camps it was filthy and crowded.The civilians are bone skinny and get beaten if they don’t follow and order or make a mistake. What made this plan successful was that Hitler and some of his fellow officers put out fake commercials that showed people throughout the camps were happy and we're doing just fine but that wasn’t the truth. The boy was smaller than Bruno and was sitting on the ground with a forlorn expression. He wore the same striped pajamas that all the people on that side of the fence wore, and a striped cloth cap on his head.He wasn’t wearing any shoes or socks and hi feet were rather dirty.On his arm he wore an armband with a star on it. The final scene,Bruno is convinced to help find Shmuel’s missing father who went missing for some months now.As soon as Bruno seeks under the fence the Nazi’s officials rounded everyone up including Shmuel and Bruno.Bruno thought that the reason that this is happening is because they want to keep them from the rain that was gaining heavily. Everyone was then ordered to strip and head into a chamber where is was tight and crowded. They were then in the chamber standing in silence one of the officials gave an order to gas them all dead unfortunately they all died. Bruno’s family looked for him for months but gave up. his dad then realized what Bruno did and regretted to not letting his family tear apart,his dad then lost the respect of his soldiers but still worked without caring what happened to
