In our opinion we believed that John Brown was a villian, but who was John Brown you ask ? Well he was only America’s first terrorist! John Brown was a writer born in Torrington Connecticut. He had twenty kids and only eleven survied in adulthood and I’ll tell you what happen to some of them and why they didn’t survive to adulthood. John brown was invovled in a couple of terrorist attacks . He was the man that raided Harper’s ferry leading to the start of the civil war. He was excecuted in 1859 at the age of 59 and his body now rest at the John Brown Farm and grave site in Lake Placid, New York.

We believe that the acts of John Brown were acts of terroism because of the ways he handled the situations. In Kansas John Brown and his sons led an attack on pro slavery residents in that area. John Brown and his sons killed 5 pro slavery residents and claimed that it was god’s will.This was known as the “Pottawatomie Massacre.” This is how his whole reputation as a terrorist to the south started. …show more content…

The mission of this small group led by John Brown was simple, form a rebellion against slavery using acts of terrorism. In 1859 21 of John Brown’s followers led an attack on Harper’s Ferry the biggest federal arsenal in what is now known as West Virginia. There he killed many men infront of their children and wives. Word spread out how he was raiding Harper’s ferry and U.S. marines showed up and overan Brown’s men killing 10 of his men including two of his sons, and also freeing the hostages they were holding
