John Fitzgerald Kennedy is known all over the country by the abbreviations of his name JFK. JFK was a well respected commander while he was in the Navy but his father suggested to look into politics. John Fitzgerald Kennedy became the youngest elected president at the age of 43. Kennedy accomplished great achievements during his Presidency that earned the respect of countless Americans across the country. Even though Kennedy was known for his Presidency, he also, he also distinguished himself while in the U.S. Navy, and while serving as a senator for the state of Massachusetts. As a child John F. Being one out of nine children often called for a physical and intellectual competition with the siblings (Manchester, 2017). The Kennedy’s spent most of their summer time in their Hyannis Port retreat playing games of family touch football. Joseph and Rose Kennedy believed the football game was just another way to help encourage their children to have a physical approach towards politics.. The competition helped prepare John F. Kennedy for his future education. John F. Kennedy was careful to select the school’s where he would acquire his education. Kennedy decided to attend two private schools, Canterbury and Choate. In Kennedy’s free time he was schooled in the religious teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. John became a well educated man both mentally and religiously. John F. Kennedy started to focus on his political career. John F. Kennedy was going to become a teacher or a writer until Joseph Kennedy Sr. talked him into running for Congress for the State of Massachusetts. Joseph Kennedy Sr. was originally going to have Joseph Kennedy Jr. run for congress but he was killed while in the Navy. John F. Kennedy was eventually elected into Congress in 1946 officially starting his political career (Manchester, 2017). Kennedy was a Democrat who served three terms in the House of Representatives, and then in 1952 he was elected to the Senate. JFK was a well respected man all the way through his political career.
