“Change is the law of life.” (John. F Kennedy), Kennedy was one of the biggest role models in our country. He was a brilliant and inspirational man. He changed the country for the better and we more importantly changed the lives of people in need. Kennedy strived to be a positive person and change the country. He wanted to help everyone he could and prove to the people that he can stick to his word and fulfill his duties. Even after his death, Kennedy left a mark on the country and people’s life. Many people place him as one of the best presidents to ever serve our country. Kennedy cared about everyone, he wanted to make everyone’s lives better. He had a great outlook on everything in his life and that is what we as Americans look for in presidents today. He is the prime example of a president. Kennedy fought to ensure equal rights and opportunities for all Americans. That is what I like about Kennedy, it is a great characteristic to have and it shows that he is a good man. He encouraged Americans to lift those that are less fortunate. I believe that is super important if you want a united country, you have to have everybody getting along and being kind to each other. (John F. Kennedy: A Biography) All of what he did for the Black people helped him greatly in the election, we won just over seventy-five percent of all the Black votes. Kennedy and Richard Nixon had one of the closest election races ever. Kennedy won the popular vote by a slim margin of approximately one-hundred-thousand votes. Nixon won more individual states than Kennedy, but it was Kennedy who prevailed by winning key states with many electoral votes. (Congressman and Senator) He wanted to extend exploration. Kennedy focused on space exploration, he wanted to beat other countries in every aspect of space exploration. He wanted to reach for the impossible. It shows that Kennedy was very competitive and I believe that is not a bad thing to have in a president. We need a competitive leader so it helps us be on top. Kennedy tries new things all the time even if he fails, he will keep trying. Like the mission to overthrow Fidel Castro, the mission failed. With nearly all the exiles captured or killed. He has prevented many fatalities and wars like he did when the Soviet Union was constructing several nuclear and long-range missile sites. It posed a threat to all of America and that didn’t settle well with Kennedy. He announced a Naval blockade of Cuba. He eventually got them to dismantle the Soviet missile
