John Fitzgerald Kennedy was born in Brookline, Massachusetts on May 29, 1917. John, also known by “JFK” or “Jack” was the 35th President of the US. Before his presidency Kennedy racked up political experience with serving time in Congress. Kennedy would serve in both the House of Representatives and the US Senate. Before that Kennedy enlisted in the Navy just before the second world war. After his training Kennedy commanded a patrol boat in the South Pacific. Injuries John sustained from the war would later plague him temporarily resulting in surgery on his back. Kennedy became one of the youngest Presidents elected at the age of 43 years old. With financial stability and his younger brother Robert managing the campaign JFK won once again climbing up the political ladder. Not only did Kennedy win the votes but he did so at a time when his party was not in control. The Republican party was in control of both Houses in Congress.
